1.Product Description

SRD PM This is a remarkable series of powder coatings crafted from robust polyester combined with Primid hardener, enriched with essential pigments, fillers, and unique agents. These thermosetting powder coatings undergo a meticulous process of melting extrusion and milling, delivering excellent physical, chemical, and decorative properties.
SRD PM offers customization opportunities with variable curing temperatures (150ºC~200ºC), diverse surface patterns (from a smooth finish to texture and hammertone), and a range of gloss levels (20%~95%).

2.Powder properties

Specific gravity 1.2~1.8g/cm3 depending on the color variations.
Particle size D(v,50) 30~42um for standard products.
Moisture content <1%
Storage Maintain temperature below 30ºC and relative humidity under 60%, with a shelf life of 6 months. Quality recheck is essential if past this period.
Curing condition 180ºC for 15 minutes (metal temperature)
200ºC for 10 minutes (metal temperature)
Add 5 more minutes for a matte finish, and consult the product test report for detailed information.

3.Coating film properties

Normal curing film thickness is approximately 60~80um, with the texture finish thickness varying
according to the specific pattern. Deviations from standard thickness may result in pinholes or patterns.

4.Pretreatment

Steel Zinc phosphate
Aluminum chromate conversion coating
Substrates must be thoroughly cleaned, degreased, and dried. Drying temperatures must't exceed 200ºC to prevent
damage to the pretreatment film and ensure strong adhesion with the powder. Cast pieces and hot-dip galvanized
steel should be preheated to expel internal moisture and gases, preventing bubble formation.
Communicate with us in advance should any formula modifications be necessary, ensuring seamless adaptation.
Important Notice:Customers must meticulously monitor the pretreatment quality as per their specific supply requirements to guarantee the supreme quality of the final coating film and ultimate satisfaction.

5. Application
SRD PM products are versatile, compatible with both manual and automatic electrostatic spray
equipment. For alternative methods (such as tribo guns and electrostatic flow beds), please inform us
ahead of time for proper guidance.
Note: Customers should rigorously assess the film quality on a regular basis. Refer to GB standards or
our test methods for proper evaluation techniques.
It is advisable for customers to conduct trials before commencing mass production or altering processes to
ensure the film quality aligns perfectly with stated requirements.
6. Additional Information
SRD PM products can be transformed into alluring metallic effects. Exercise caution when opting for
metallic finishes due to inherent lower resistance to corrosion, durability, and scratches. We
offer enhancements with a top clear coat, although this will alter the surface appearance significantly. When applying the top coat,
reduce the gun voltage to approximately 40KV to ensure optimal charging efficiency and avoid
contact with the initial film post-curing for flawless results.
SRD PM products are thoughtfully packaged in PE bags within boxes. Keep away from direct sunlight, heat,
and moisture to preserve quality.
7. Safety Guidelines
Protective Personal Equipment (PPE) such as masks, gloves, and caps are essential when applying powder coatings. Refrain from eating, drinking,
and smoking during application.
Earthing is critically required when using our powders due to explosion risks at specific concentrations
where fire is present. Prohibit any sparks or open flames within the workshop.
