1.Product Description

SRD PM is a premier series of powder coatings, crafted from durable polyester, Primid hardener, and essential pigment fillers, combined with unique special agents. These thermosetting powder coatings undergo a meticulous process of melting, extrusion, and milling, delivering exceptional physical, chemical, and decorative qualities.
SRD PM can be tailor-made to fit your needs with varying curing temperatures (150ºC~200ºC), patterns (smooth finish, texture, hammertone), and gloss levels (20%~95%).

2.Powder properties

Specific gravity ranges from 1.2~1.8g/cm3 based on color variations. according to different color
Particle size D(v,50) 30~42um for standard products, ensuring a consistent finish.
Moisture content is meticulously controlled at <1% for optimal performance.
Storage Maintain storage conditions below 30ºC with relative humidity under 60% to ensure a 6-month shelf life. If extending beyond 6 months, a quality recheck is recommended.
Curing condition Achieve perfect curing at 180ºC for 15 minutes (metal temperature)
200ºC10 minutes (metal temperature) for optimal results.
Add 5 minutes for matt finishes; refer to the product test report for detailed guidance.

3.Coating film properties

Normal curing film thickness is approximately 60~80um, with texture finishes varying according
to different pattern. Deviations in film thickness can lead to pinholes or pattern irregularities if not aligned with
standard.
The following test data, evaluated in a controlled lab environment using standard substrates and pretreatments, may differ
from results achieved in a customer's'production line. Provided for reference only.
These products are not recommended for excessively thick film applications as moisture may
emerge during the reaction process.

4.Pretreatment

Steel Zinc phosphate coating is advised.
Aluminum should undergo chromate conversion coating for optimum results.
Ensure substrates are entirely clean, properly degreased, and thoroughly dry. Do not exceed a dry temperature of'200ºC to prevent damage to the pretreatment film and ensure strong adhesion with the powder.
For cast pieces and hot-dip galvanized steel, preheating is essential to release internal moisture and gases, preventing bubble formation.Ensure the preheat process is carefully managed for optimal results.

Note:Customer should check the pretreatment quality regularly according to his supply requirement so as to ensure the quality of final coating film.

5. Application
SRD PM series of products can be applied with manual and automatically electrostatic spray
equipment. Other application methods( tribo gun and electrostatic flow bed) should be informed
ahead.
Note: Customer should check the film quality regularly. Checking methods refers
to GB or our test methods.
Customer should try before mass production for new product or when changing process to
ensure the film quality to meet requirement.
6.others
SRD PM series of products can be made into metallic effects. Please pay attention to choose
these metallic effects because they have poor anti-corrosion, durability and scratch resistance. We
can improve these weaknesses with top clear coat while surface will change a lot.Please reduce
the gun voltage to about 40KV to ensure charging efficiency when spraying top coat and avoid
touching first film after curing.
SRD PM series of products are packaged with PE bag in box. Avoid direct sunshine , heating
and moisture.
7.Safety
PPE like mask, glove and cap needed when applying powdercoating. When using do not eat, drink
and smoke.
Earthing is specially required when using our powder because of explosion at some concentration
with fire. Forbid sparkle and fire in workshop.
